Technical notes
A label layout is defined by page size, margins, label dimensions and the number of rows/columns. The tool keeps these together so that when you print, barcodes align with the die-cut lines on a pre-made label sheet. If you don't know your measurements, start with the label template finder.
Thermal printers are typically 203 or 300 DPI. Rendering the barcode at a resolution matching the target DPI keeps bar edges crisp and the read rate high. At low print resolution, thin bars can merge together.
The quiet zone on each side of every barcode must be preserved; packing labels too close together can eliminate it and cause read failures. The tool leaves a safe inner padding by default.
For bulk runs, feed data straight from the bulk barcode generator output, and for a single design use the barcode generator. For print tips, see barcode printing settings.
